Job Description

Ordino Technologies is looking for a highly organised, entrepreneurial person to own how the business executes day to day.

You’ll work closely with both founders across client delivery, product, operations and commercial activity. This isn’t a traditional admin-focused assistant role. It’s for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, keeping projects moving and making sure decisions turn into action.

We’re a small team — two founders supported by a close circle of advisors, studios, freelancers and collaborators — so you’ll have visibility across the whole business and plenty of scope to improve how things work.

What you’ll be doing

Delivery and project coordination

  • Own the operational rhythm across live projects
  • Keep priorities, dependencies and timelines on track
  • Coordinate clients, collaborators, studios and freelancers
  • Track actions and make sure decisions become delivery
  • Maintain follow-through across consultancy and technical projects

Operations and systems

  • Maintain our CRM, project documentation, templates and internal systems
  • Run weekly planning, prioritisation and action tracking
  • Organise meeting agendas, notes and next steps
  • Build and improve repeatable workflows and processes

Commercial support

  • Keep the commercial pipeline organised and current
  • Help move proposals forward through drafting, scheduling and follow-ups
  • Make sure leads and conversations don’t go cold
  • Support proposals, reports and working documents

This is about supporting the commercial process rather than leading sales. The founders continue to own relationships and winning work; you make sure nothing slips through the gaps.

Founder support

  • Turn founder conversations and decisions into execution
  • Capture decisions and communicate them clearly
  • Maintain continuity across projects, clients and collaborators
  • Reduce context-switching and keep momentum between meetings

About you

You’ll likely have 3+ years’ experience in project management, studio operations or something adjacent.

You’ll be:

  • Calm, organised and proactive
  • Strong at synthesis, writing and communication
  • Comfortable working closely with founders and with ambiguity
  • Commercially aware, although this isn’t a sales role
  • Good at spotting what needs to happen next and acting on it
  • Comfortable holding multiple moving parts at once
  • Interested in creative businesses, systems and long-term thinking
  • Confident creating structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy

Relevant backgrounds might include project or programme management, studio operations, creative production, client services, account management, founder support or boutique consultancy operations.

An understanding of creative businesses, design studios or founder-led companies is important.

About Ordino

Ordino Technologies partners with businesses to identify opportunities, sharpen commercial strategy and deliver the technical builds that bring them to life. Alongside client work, we incubate our own ventures and spin-off businesses, so the work spans consultancy, product and everything in between.

Founders Edd Harrington and Anthony Sheret previously founded Colophon Foundry, growing it into the second-largest type foundry in EMEA by revenue before selling the business to Monotype in 2023.

The role is based in our Shoreditch office for three days per week, ideally Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, although we can flex the days for the right person.

How to apply

Email mail@ordino.co.uk with the subject “Operations Lead Job Application”.

Please include:

  • A short introduction
  • Your relevant experience
  • Examples of the kinds of businesses, founders or creative teams you’ve worked with
  • One short example of an operational mess you brought to order — what it was, what you did and what changed

If your application looks like a good fit, we’ll arrange an initial video call. Selected candidates will then be invited to a second interview in Shoreditch, London.

Ordino is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from everyone, whatever your background.

No recruiters, please.
