Job Description

Junior Technical Product & Accessories Designer

About Us

Our agency works with brands on commercial strategy and product innovation. We are currently focused on the luxury eyewear sector, with clients that include Cutler and Gross, District Vision, Ahlem, Sato, and Thom Browne Eyewear.

The Role

We are looking for a Junior Designer for 2 days per week (freelance/contract). This role requires a technical creative, someone who understands that the quality and USP of a luxury product is defined by its engineering and micro-details.

You will be responsible for the iterative development of new design concepts, ensuring they align with technical standards and architectural requirements. You will be expected to bring creative ideas to the table, specifically focusing on the details of the product: bespoke hinges, custom pins, and specialised hardware.

Key Responsibilities

Design Development: Translate creative concepts into refined, manufacturable products by innovating within established technical architectures.

Hardware Engineering: Conceptualise and detail functional components, including custom hinges, rivets, and metal hardware.

Technical Drafting: Produce precise 2D technical drawings and 3D models (Rhino 3D preferred) to a manufacturing-ready standard.

Visualisation: Create clean renders and mood boards to communicate new design directions and material finishes.

Product Review: Evaluate physical prototypes and provide technical feedback on tolerances, assembly, and finishes.

Skills & Requirements

A background in Product Design, Industrial Design, or Jewellery. You have a natural intuition for how parts fit and move together.

Software Mastery: High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Rhino 3D.

Precision: Comfortable working with 0.1mm tolerances; you understand that luxury is in the accuracy.

Adaptability: The ability to pivot your aesthetic style to suit a range of brand identities, from heritage luxury to technical performance.

Details

Schedule: 2 days per week.

Contract: Freelance/Part-time.

Location: East London
