Job Description
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and resilient Social & Content Manager who thrives in the fast pace of a busy creative agency. Reporting to the Marketing Lead, you will take ownership of social channels and digital content, aligning activity with the wider marketing and communications strategy.
You’ll be responsible for planning and scheduling monthly content, coordinating internal design resources, managing paid social activity, and supporting wider marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience within a creative agency or similar environment, a strong understanding of social and content marketing, and a genuine enthusiasm for brand experience, retail design, and creative culture.
Digital Marketing & Content Creation
- Lead day-to-day social media and content activity across platforms, with a focus on Instagram, LinkedIn, and HubSpot email marketing.
- Write confident, engaging, and culturally relevant copy across social media, newsletters, website content, and marketing materials.
- Analyse performance data and reporting metrics to optimise content, drive engagement, grow audiences, and increase brand awareness.
- Plan, manage, and optimise paid social campaigns across Instagram and LinkedIn, using audience targeting, testing, and performance insights to support engagement and inbound enquiries.
- Build and distribute email marketing campaigns and newsletters through HubSpot, monitoring performance and maintaining audience databases.
- Update the website with new project and journal content.
- Attend internal and external events to capture social content, including Instagram Stories, behind-the-scenes content, and live updates.
Communications & Planning
- Own the rollout of the content calendar, balancing planned campaigns with reactive and ad hoc requests.
- Coordinate and manage design team resource and content capture for live projects, internal marketing content series, and wider marketing initiatives.
- Create and distribute internal marketing updates, sharing press coverage, project launches, social activity, and wider marketing news with the team.
- Assist with award entry submissions and tracking, preparing supporting materials and maintaining internal databases.
- Support the planning, coordination, and promotion of internal events, talks, and studio initiatives.
- Maintain clear communication across departments while confidently managing competing priorities within a busy agency environment.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain organised systems and processes to ensure projects, deadlines, approvals, and deliverables are managed efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain marketing and PR databases.
- Research industry news, cultural trends, competitor activity, and emerging social content opportunities.
- Contribute to a collaborative, creative, and responsive studio culture.
- Participate in weekly Marketing and New Business meetings, contributing ideas, updates, and proactive solutions.
Requirements
- BA in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in a marketing, social media, or communications role, ideally within a creative agency or related creative industry.
- Strong understanding of how creative agencies operate and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Highly organised, proactive, resilient, and confident managing multiple projects, deadlines, and incoming requests simultaneously.
- Experience managing social media platforms, content scheduling, digital marketing tools, and paid social campaigns.
- Experience using HubSpot (or similar CRM/email marketing platforms), including audience segmentation, newsletter management, and contact database organisation.
- Experience using analytics, reporting, and performance tracking tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to apply this across copy for social channels and marketing collateral.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Comfortable working in person as part of a collaborative studio culture, with a minimum of 3 days per week in our Shoreditch office.
- Strong interest in retail design, brand experience, culture, and the creative industry.
- Experience using design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, to adapt and resize assets for social media formats.
