Job Description
Creative Spark is looking for a Senior Designer to join our Manchester studio and help create distinctive, high-quality brand work for ambitious businesses that want to move forward.
This is a role for someone who loves the full journey of a brand project: the early moodboards, the loose thoughts, the creative territories, the crafted concepts and the final rollout that makes everything feel properly joined up. You’ll work closely with our Design Director, Creative Director, strategists, account team and wider Sparks to turn insight, positioning and ideas into visual worlds with clarity, character and momentum.
Brand is at the heart of the role. You’ll help shape identities, build design systems and create work that can stretch across print, campaigns, exhibitions, displays, corporate communications, pitches, brand rollouts and wider creative outputs. Motion experience would be a brilliant bonus, especially where it helps bring an idea to life, but it is not a deal breaker. Strong brand thinking and beautiful craft come first.
You’ll have at least four years’ agency experience and a portfolio full of varied, well-crafted work across different clients and sectors. You’ll know how to take a brief apart, find the opportunity inside it and develop creative that does more than look good. It should answer the challenge, feel distinctive and work properly in the real world. Annoying, really, when design has to do all three.

What you’ll be doing
- Developing creative ideas and concepts that meet client objectives
- Turning strategy, insight and creative direction into clear, distinctive visual systems
- Creating high-quality design work across brand identity, print, campaigns and wider creative outputs
- Taking early ideas from moodboards and creative territories through to crafted concepts and rollout
- Choosing the right media, style and format for each brief
- Supporting pitch creative, new business work, client meetings and presentations
- Keeping design work sharp, consistent and beautifully crafted from concept to delivery
- Using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva and AI where they add value to the creative process
- Bringing motion thinking into projects where relevant, if that is part of your skill set
- Staying close to trends, tools and creative innovation
- Estimating time for design projects and supporting client quotes where needed
- Contributing to award submissions and helping us show the work at its best
- Keeping design processes, files and project housekeeping in good shape, because chaos is not a brand system
What you’ll bring
- At least 4 years’ agency experience
- A strong portfolio full of varied, well-crafted work
- A real passion for brand, creative and design
- Strong concept development skills
- Confidence across brand, print, campaign and wider creative projects
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Canva
- Confidence exploring AI tools as part of the creative process
- Motion skills as a bonus, not a requirement
- Creative flair, initiative and self-motivation
- A sharp eye for quality, detail and ideas that actually work
