Job Description

NARI is looking for a Senior Strategist to help shape the next stage of the studio.

We’re an independent creative studio with momentum, a clear point of view, and the drive to shape what comes next. Our work is built around a stance against sameness: the kind of brand work that feels too familiar, too polished, or too easy to place.

Strategy is how we put that stance to work. It means questioning the obvious, finding the tension worth pursuing, and turning it into a point of view that can shape everything a brand says, makes, and does.

As we grow, we’re looking for someone who can help strengthen that way of thinking from the inside. Someone who can lead major projects, work closely with our creative team, and help build the strategic side of NARI with care, clarity, and conviction.

What you’ll do

You’ll lead strategy across our most important brand projects, while helping shape how strategy works inside NARI as we grow.

The project work comes first. You’ll guide thinking from early discovery and brand foundations through to how ideas show up in identity, campaigns, content, tone of voice, messaging, and wider brand behaviour. You’ll work closely with our creative leads and design team, making sure strategy is part of the work from the start. Not a deck that gets presented, approved, and quietly forgotten once design begins.

Alongside client work, you’ll play a key role in pitches and new business. That means helping us frame opportunities, sharpen proposals, understand the real problem behind a brief, and show prospective clients how NARI thinks.

You’ll also help shape NARI itself. As the studio grows, you’ll have a role in strengthening our own processes, sharpening our positioning, and helping define how our stance against sameness shows up in the way we work.

In practice, this means you’ll:

  • Lead strategic thinking across key client projects
  • Shape brand positioning, narratives, messaging, tone of voice, and creative direction
  • Turn research, context, audience behaviour, and culture into clear strategic thinking
  • Work directly with clients and present thinking with confidence
  • Partner closely with creatives throughout the process
  • Support pitches, proposals, and new business conversations
  • Help sharpen NARI’s own positioning, language, and strategic offer
  • Build better ways for strategy to feed the creative work
  • Play an active role in how the studio grows from a strategic point of view

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a strategist with taste, judgement, and a clear point of view.

Someone who can take a vague or familiar brief and find the more interesting problem inside it. Someone who can ask better questions, write clearly, build a strong argument, and give the team something useful to work from. You should be culturally aware, but not led by whatever reference everyone has just saved. You should understand brands, behaviour, taste, and audience shifts, while knowing how to turn that understanding into something specific.

Strong writing matters. So does judgement. So does the ability to hold a position without becoming fixed. You’ll need to be good with clients, good with creatives, and good at knowing when a clever thought is actually useful.

You might come from a brand studio, creative agency, or an in-house role at an ambitious brand. The exact route matters less than the quality of your thinking, the work behind it, and the energy you would bring into the studio.
