Job Description
Midweight UX/UI Designer
The role
Shoreditch Design is a small, fast-paced creative agency working across UI, UX, branding, video and digital experiences.
Shoreditch Design is seeking a talented Midweight UX/UI Designer to join our team at our wonderful London HQ.
Tasks and responsibilities
Work across a range of digital design experiences — while mostly focused on UX/UI or product-focused briefs, you'll also get stuck into branding, graphic design, pitch decks, animation storyboards and more.
Contribute to complex, fixed-term jobs — supporting client and project management to ensure timely delivery to our silver-service standard. We don't have a dedicated account/PM team, so being highly organised with strong verbal communication is essential.
Collaborate with designers to create exceptional digital products and websites that exceed client expectations, demonstrating best practices, creativity, and commercial impact.
Help build and maintain design systems and guidelines that ensure consistency and quality across all our work.
Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, user requirements and technical constraints — and translate them into elegant, intuitive, effective designs.
Support design sprints, workshops and presentations that engage clients and explain our process and problem-solving approach.
Share knowledge with junior designers, offering feedback and support to help them grow.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve productivity and processes across the wider team.
Essential skills and experience
At least 2–3 years of experience as a UX/UI or Product Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design thinking and process.
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Bonus points for After Effects, Webflow, Framer or similar.
Solid understanding of design systems, interaction design, user-centred design and product principles.
Strong communication and presentation skills — you can clearly articulate your thinking and rationale to both clients and stakeholders.
Experience working on projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
