Job Description
A client of ours is looking to meet experienced Creative Directors who may be open to freelance or flexible project work over the coming months. The intention is to build an ongoing relationship with the right individual, with the possibility of longer-term collaboration if it feels mutually right over time.
This role is suited to someone who brings both creative authority and a grounded, collaborative approach. The work involves guiding major organisations through moments of change, helping them rethink how they present themselves and how they communicate their ambitions to the world.
About the Role
You’ll be working alongside senior colleagues across strategy, design and client leadership, helping shape the direction of significant brand and transformation programmes. The work ranges from early‑stage thinking and creative direction to supporting teams as ideas develop and take shape.
The ideal person is someone who can move comfortably between conversations with senior executives and hands‑on creative guidance with design teams. You’ll be expected to bring clarity to complex challenges, offer a strong point of view when needed, and help teams push their thinking further.
What We’re Looking For
- A track record of shaping influential brand, identity or transformation work
- A clear and confident creative perspective
- Strong strategic instincts and commercial awareness
- Experience leading large, multi‑layered programmes
- Ability to build trust with senior stakeholders, including C‑suite
- Skill in turning insight and strategy into compelling creative direction
- Comfort working in ambiguity and navigating complex problems
- Ability to inspire and support multidisciplinary teams
- Experience identifying opportunities and helping grow client relationships
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who combines expertise with humility. Someone who raises the level of the work not through ego, but through clarity, curiosity and generosity. You’ll be recognised for the quality of your thinking and your ability to help others do their best work.
This role suits someone who cares deeply about organisations, culture and change - someone who sees design as a tool for transformation, not just expression.
Background That May Fit Well
You may have built your career within leading brand, identity or transformation consultancies, or you may have developed a respected independent practice. Experience working on complex programmes involving strategy, identity systems and senior stakeholder engagement will be particularly valuable.
Practical Details
- Freelance / contract engagement
- Flexible involvement depending on project needs
- London‑based preferred, with ability to join key sessions in person
- Availability from August (earlier start possible)
