Job Description

Job Summary:

Laura Hammett is a boutique luxury interior design studio based in Parsons Green, London. We design beautiful residential properties across the UK and internationally, and pride ourselves on our warm, collaborative and creative studio culture.

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Studio Manager to be the operational backbone of our studio. This is a broad, hands-on role that keeps the team running smoothly day to day. The ideal candidate will be a natural organiser who takes pride in maintaining a well-run, welcoming environment and genuinely enjoys supporting people.

This is a maternity cover role with an initial 12-18 month fixed term contract. The role is part-time (25 hours per week) ideally Monday to Friday in the studio.

Responsibilities

Studio Operations:

· Ensure the studio is well-organised, tidy and always looks its best for visitors and clients.

· Manage relationships with key suppliers including cleaners, landlord, couriers and any other studio services.

· Oversee and renew insurance policies and health and safety compliance, keeping all documentation up to date.

· Coordinate room bookings, meeting scheduling and diary management as required.

· Act as the first point of contact for any studio facilities issues and resolve them efficiently.

HR & People:

· Manage all HR administration including onboarding new team members, inductions, and off-boarding leavers. Work with external HR provider (Peninsula).

· Coordinate annual appraisals in January and mid-year appraisals in June/July, working closely with the Director and senior team.

· Support recruitment activity — posting roles, managing candidate communications and coordinating interviews.

· Maintain personnel records and ensure the studio handbook and policies remain current and relevant.

· Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across all people processes.

· Embed wellbeing and engagement initiatives that support retention and a positive culture.

Culture & Events:

· Organise and coordinate team social events throughout the year, including the Christmas party and other celebrations.

· Arrange team meetings including Town Halls and Project Reviews.

· Help maintain the studio's relaxed, boutique feel while supporting its growth ambitions.

IT & Systems:

· Manage relationships with IT support providers to ensure the studio's technology runs smoothly.

· Coordinate equipment setup for new starters and troubleshoot day-to-day IT queries.

· Oversee software licences, subscriptions and renewals.

Requirements:

· Proven experience in a studio, office management or operations role, ideally within a creative or design environment.

· Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· A warm, people-focused approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Solid understanding of HR processes and best practice.

· Proactive and self-motivated — someone who spots what needs doing and gets it done.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HR or project management tools is a plus.

· Ability to commute to our Parsons Green, London studio.

· You must be available to start in late September 2026.
