Job Description
Samar Maakaroun's team is looking for a Midweight Graphic Designer to join the Pentagram London studio in Angel.
Pentagram London is made up of ten partners, each running an independent design practice within the wider partnership. While we share a studio, reputation and values, each team has its own culture, clients, working methods and areas of focus.
This role sits specifically within Samar Maakaroun's team. Applicants should be interested in the nature of Samar's work and approach to design, rather than applying to Pentagram as a general destination.
We are looking for a designer with a strong foundation in brand identity design and experience creating work across digital, print and motion. A keen typographic eye, rigorous attention to detail and genuine care for craft are essential.
Our work spans a variety of sectors and organisations at different stages of growth, primarily within arts and culture, technology, entertainment and fashion. We work closely as a team and value designers who combine strong visual instincts with curiosity, initiative and a desire to continually learn.
Depending on the project, our team uses a broad range of tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, After Effects, Keynote, Glyphs, Cavalry, TouchDesigner and emerging AI tools. We celebrate curiosity around technology and are interested in designers who actively explore new ways of making and thinking.
We are looking for someone dependable, thoughtful and hardworking, with strong technical skills and a natural problem-solving mindset. Working closely with Samar and the wider team, you will be expected to take ownership of your work, manage deadlines responsibly and respond positively to feedback and direction. Equally important are your contributions to the work, your initiative and curiosity.
Samar and the team frequently work across cultures, languages and writing systems. The role is particularly suited to someone who embraces the unfamiliar, enjoys learning from people and contexts different from their own, and approaches design with curiosity, research and an open mind.
When applying, please be clear about the role you played in the work you show.
