Jason Bruges is internationally renowned as a pioneer of the hybrid space between art, architecture and technology. His artworks are site-specific, ‘sculptural barometers’ that tap into the emotional tapestry of a community or place by translating live feedback into living, breathing, spatial interventions.

In 2002, Jason set up Jason Bruges Studio where he works with talented team of architects, engineers, computational designers, creative technologists and project managers to deliver a diverse array of art projects world-wide.

Some of the Studio’s most celebrated work includes The Constant Gardeners a robotic zen garden which took place during the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic games and Digital Phyllotaxy, a giant, tree-like media canopy for Hankook Tire in Seoul.

Job Overview and Role Objectives

Working closely with senior team members, you will oversee project resourcing with a clear, detail-oriented approach. This includes tracking team allocation, planned versus remaining time, current workloads, project needs, deadlines, and deliverables. You will ensure each project is appropriately resourced, maintaining a balance that supports both efficiency and quality. You will regularly communicate resourcing insights to the management team, helping to keep projects lean, effective, and on track to deliver innovative, high-quality work on time and within budget

In addition, you will support and nurture a team of 20+, helping to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired. You will play a key role in fostering a positive, rewarding studio environment where people can do their best work and contribute to the creative vision of the business.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Resource Management:

• Working with the management team to allocate and carefully monitor the amount of staff time we spend on each stage of a project to ensure it is managed efficiently.

• Lead regular team meetings and check in with people to ensure resourcing is correct, projects are on track and work is produced to deadlines.

• Work with the team to ensure meetings are scheduled at the right time to review work efficiently and provide clear status reports.

• Work with the management and finance team to ensure that our billing schedule is aligned with our deadlines.

• Work closely with the NB team to prepare for upcoming resourcing needs.

• Work closely with the EA to manage Founders time for internal project reviews

• Assist MD in R&D process.

HR management:

• Help make sure the studio team of 20+ is engaged, motivated, and inspired. Help us maintain a studio that is rewarding and fun to work for and ensure the team is in the best position to deliver against the creative vision of the business.

• Manage holidays, recruitment process, employment contracts, on boarding, staff reviews, freelance team management and any other related HR issues.

• Help ensure the health and wellbeing of the team. Being the first point of contact for any concerns they might have.

• Coordinate regular social and learning events to support a positive culture in the studio.

Operations, Systems and Procedures:

• Ensure the studio operationally and administratively works efficiently.

• Maintain a comfortable and tidy working environment.

• Responsible for Health & Safety within the office, including policy and procedures.

• Oversee IT and collaborate with consultants to ensure IT provisions are fit for purpose and team has necessary requirements.

• Oversee maintenance of all aspects of the studio premises and equipment and ensure that any issues or repairs are tended to promptly.

• Ensure that all equipment and necessary supplies are available and in good working order for staff and day-to-day operations.

• Order office & kitchen supplies, collecting and distributing post, setting up for meetings

New Business/ EA Support:

• Manage other company email accounts (ie Info@jasonbruges.com)

• Assist the new business team with organizing client events to promote the studios work, nurture existing client relationships and foster new ones, enhance new business opportunities. A strong knowledge of Founder’s key relationships and target clients are required for strategic planning

• Support new business team with maintaining and updating the studio website.

• Depth of new business and/or EA support dependant on candidate's background and skills.

Skills & Experience Required

• 4+ years practice management experience.

• Strong experience in project time management and allocation within a creative environment with demonstrable experience in using and developing procedures for time recording, management and analysis.

• Proven experience with project / resourcing management software such as Teamgantt, Harvest / Forecast.

• Fully proficient in usual office software such as MS Office, Word, Excel, Mail etc.

• Experience with CRM software (ex: Pipedrive, Salesforce or equivalent).

• Excellent line management experience with time and performance management skills.

• Basic understanding of employment law and HR practice including acquisition, optimization, and retention of talent.
