Contract: 12-month contract with possibility of extension, 3-month probation period

The role

The RTS is looking for a technically minded Multimedia Content Assistant to work on the RTS Mini MBA: an online, on-demand course on the business of television & streaming media.

As an integral part of the team, the Multimedia Content Assistant will be responsible for designing and editing dynamic educational content following the brand guidelines of the RTS and using various mediums – from digital to motion graphics including the integration of video, voiceover, charts, graphs and other learning resources. The role will also be responsible for creating engaging marketing materials and editing, sequencing and uploading files to an LMS (LearnWorlds).

The candidate will be working as part of the RTS Education team and will be reporting to the Multimedia Content Manager.

Summary of role:

  • Design and edit dynamic educational content using Microsoft PowerPoint / Keynote, Articulate Storyline and Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent editing software
  • Create engaging online and print graphics and marketing materials to support campaigns for the RTS Mini MBA and other departments across the RTS
  • Work closely with the in-house RTS digital team and freelance content creators and producers to review, edit and upload content, to ensure the Mini MBA is regularly refreshed and kept up to date

Essential skills:

  • Graphic design experience including the ability to work with design briefs and style guidelines
  • Experience of conveying complex data in an attractive and comprehensible way e.g. charts and diagrams
  • Proven experience designing marketing materials for print and digital applications
  • Experience in (or ability to learn) working with an LMS or CMS to upload, edit and manage content e.g. LearnWorlds
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote
  • A solid understanding of how digital content works, especially graphics applications and software such as Canva, and ability to adapt quickly to new/unfamiliar software
  • Good attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating a desire to take initiative for your own work
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple RTS teams across different departments
  • A diligent and disciplined work ethic, ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and good file management practices

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent editing software (or ability to learn)
  • Experience working with e-learning software e.g. Articulate Storyline
  • Experience in web coding e.g. HTML
  • An interest in digital educational content and television, film and related media

  • The Multimedia Content Assistant will be given data presented in complex charts and diagrams or other materials and asked to convert them into visually appealing graphics.
